Pre-writing activities:

  • ​​Making shapes and letters in sand, or shaving cream

  • Using chalkboards or whiteboard to draw and write on
     

Pre-reading activities:

​

  • Matching objects, pictures, letters and words

  • Playing memory

  • Sequencing Stories

  • Rhyming

  • Play I-spy with letters
     

Writing Activities:

​

  • Create small stories

  • Practice writing names

  • Build and write consonant-vowel-consonant (CVC) words like cat, big, wax, etc.
     

Reading Activities

​

  • Reading aloud

  • Building CVC words
