LEAVES!

Who knows what leaves do during different seasons?

ree

Leaves change color because of something called Chlorophyll.

Chlorophyll is a green pigment, present in all green plants and in bacteria, responsible for the absorption of light to provide energy for photosynthesis.

Chlorophyll starts to break down because of changes in the length of daylight and changes in temperature, the leaves stop their food-making process.

That’s why the green color disappears, and the yellow to orange colors become visible and give the leaves a fun fall color!

ree

Photosynthesis is when mostly green plants make food from water and carbon dioxide.
