Hello boys and girls, it's Miss Jasmine! Today is Thursday April 2nd! We are going to talk about an artist named Camilo Mori. Camilo Mori was an artist from Chile, a country in South America.
In this video below, I'm going to tell you all about Camilo and show you some of his paintings:
He was born September 24, 1896! His paintings were known to many as being Expressionism, which means the art work that’s presented tries to emotion and meaning instead of a very plain picture where you can guess right away what the picture means.
In his early life, he started school at "Escuela de Bellas Artes," (School of Fine Arts) at the University of Chile. He would later move to Europe to further his art skills and what type of art he would be painting.
Finally returning to Chile, Camilo became a founding member of Grupo Montparnasse, which is made up of artists from Chile who created a new world in art! He was a very important person, whose artwork was very skilled.
