Hi boys and girls, it's Miss Jess, and today we're going to talk about polar mammals and do a fun blubber experiment! A lot of these animals live in the Arctic Circle.

Some animals live in very cold areas of the earth, so how do they stay warm, especially when swimming?
The answer is BLUBBER!
Blubber is an extra layer of fat under the skin that helps keep the warm in their bodies, and the cold out. Blubber covers the entire body of animals such as seals, whales, and walruses.
