Hi boys and girls! It's Miss Jasmine and today we will be talking about leaves!
Leaves are one of the most important parts of a plant.
Leaves provide food to us as well as food to the plant it is growing from! Leaves can come in all shapes and sizes on many different plants. The color of the leaf is caused by a pigment called chlorophyll, which absorbs the sunlight and makes food! Animals as well as people can and do eat the leaves on a plant. Plants provide food for all living things. Plants also change colors due to the weather and the temperature of the environment they are surrounded by.
