Good morning boys and girls! Miss Jess here, and today we're going to learn from home.
As you may have heard with ears and seen with your eyes, it's been pretty windy outside! Because the wind was so strong, we have to stay home from school again. We want to make sure everyone is safe, just like we do in our classroom!

Wind may be a bit loud, but we don't need to be afraid of it! If you've ever seen a kite soar through the sky or a sailboat move across the sea, then you'll know wind helps to make these items move.
Today, we're going to teach you about wind and there will be a story and activities you can do at home.
Here is Bill Nye The Science Guy! He's going to help explain all about wind:
Wind is air in motion.
It is made by the uneven heating of the earth's surface by the sun. Since the earth's surface is made of various land and water formations, it absorbs the sun's radiation unevenly.
Two factors are necessary to specify wind: speed and direction.
